Wimbledon will be back at Selhurst Park next season, but as visitors not tenants after coming from behind to beat Burnley 2-1.
The Dons completed their final game at Crystal Palace's ground in front of 1,972 fans and recorded their 100th win from 248 games in their 12 seasons away from the Borough of Wimbledon.
The Dons started well but it was the visitors who took a shock lead in the 26th minute.
A ball into the Dons box rebounded off Peter Hawkins' foot and although goalkeeper Kelvin Davis threw himself down to make the save, the ball dropped at Gareth Taylor's feet.
He fired home to finish off a ten-minute period in which Burnley upped the tempo. They might well have had a second goal shortly after when Ian Moore's 30-yard volley skimmed the post as it flew inches wide.
Burnley closed the half with both Robbie Blake and Matthew O'Neill failing to add to their lead from promising positions.
In the second period though the Dons picked up the pace, first levelling and then taking the lead as David Connolly raised his personal scoring tally to 24 goals in the 55th and 80th minutes.
The first was made by Trond Andersen's skill and quick feet, the second a snap shot from a ricocheting ball in the Burney box.
Wimbledon move to Milton Keynes having secured their 18th league victory of the season while Burnley suffered their 21st defeat of the campaign.
