MK Dons striker Aaron Wilbraham scored two quick-fire goals to turn this game in the Dons favour and boost their promotion chances.

But Stanley are at the other end of the table after their sixth defeat in seven league games.

Accrington forced the early pace with striker Leighton McGivern trying an early chip which was over the MK Dons bar, and Andy Proctor heading wide.

But Dons top scorer Izale McLeod only needs one chance.

On 15 minutes he got the ball on the wing and unleashed a ferocious shot which went in off the post to make it 14 goals for the season.

MK Dons were always a threat going forward, with defender Robbie Williams having to clear a Jon-Paul McGovern overhead kick off the line.

However, as the Dons looked for their second, it was Stanley's turn to score on the break.

Jacobson's left-wing cross was turned in by the unmarked Mullin on 39 minutes to end a goal drought which went back to September for the striker.

And four minutes later, Stanley went ahead when Mullin headed home a McGivern cross to make it eight goals for the season.

The MK Dons came out battling after the break and on 54 minutes it was all square with a disputed goal.

Diallo's cross was flapped at by keeper Ian Dunbavin and Aaron Wilbraham managed to bundle the keeper and the ball over the line for the equaliser.

The Reds were still in shock when the Dons made another chance count just four minutes later.

A corner was only half cleared, Andrews put the ball back in and Wilbraham did well to slot the ball home past Dunbavin.

The Stanley keeper was lucky not to have a penalty awarded against him on 61 minutes when he pulled McLeod's legs but the striker managed to stay on his feet and his resulting shot was blocked.

It then went from bad to worse for Accrington when Williams got his second yellow card on 63 minutes for a challenge on McLeod.

The MK Dons did get a fourth on 81 minutes when O'Hanlon headed home after Stanley failed to clear a corner.

But the home side made sure it was a lively finish when substitute Mangan rifled the ball home from 20 yards seven minutes from time, but it was not enough for the Reds.
