Reo-Coker, who up until days ago must have expected to be playing his first game of the season next week as a Portsmouth player, capped a fine display by scoring the Dons third goal.
Murdoch said: "Nigel Reo-Coker looked amazing and charged up and down the pitch.
"People have said that both Crewe and ourselves are going down, but there are 45 games to play.
