Levens surgery is successful

The Scot fractured his metatarsal in training last Thursday, ruling him out of the League One play-offs, and was operated on at the beginning of the week.

Club head of medecine Simon Crampton told the club's official website: "Peter Leven fractured his metatarsal in an innocuous incident in training last week.

"After several specialist consultations it was decided the best method to deal with it was to surgically fix the bone.

"I am delighted to say Peter had surgery in London on Monday and it was a great success.

"He is currently wearing an aircast boot and will continue to be managed by the medical team."
