Extreme cold temperatures overnight put the game in doubt on Saturday morning.
A club statement read: "Football League official Iain Williamson arrived at 9.20am to examine playing conditions.
"With the pitch already frozen and temperatures not forecasted to rise sufficiently for it to thaw before kick-off, the decision was reached to rearrange the fixture for an alternative date."
