Tomorrow sees the Dons play their sixth friendly against Windsor & Eton; whilst still shaping and training their squad for the assault on the Combined Counties League. Here are directions on how to get to the ground from a variety of routes.
By Road - From M3
Exit M3 at Junction 3 - follow signs for Windsor - this route takes you through Ascot (past Racecourse) towards Windsor Great Park - as you approach Windsor Great Park you reach a large roundabout - you have the choice of two routes:
1. Follow the signs for Legoland/Slough/M4 on B3022 - You eventually reach a set of traffic lights on a T-Junction - go straight over entering St. Leonards Road - after approx 1/4 mile Stag & Hounds Public House on left - The entrance to the ground is directly opposite.
2. Follow signs for Windsor Town Centre (A332) travelling through Windsor Great Park - through Park and once out take second road on left (Bolton Road) - Through the T-Junction with a mini-roundabout - Turn left into St. Leonards Road - The ground is approx 500 yards on left opposite Stag & Hounds Public House.
By Road - From M4
Exit M4 at Junction 6 - Follow the signs for Windsor - now on Eton/Windsor Relief Road (A355/A332) - continue down this road going over the River Thames and a fly-over - over a roudabout until reaching very large (traffic light controlled) roundabout - take third exit into Imperial road (singposted M3, Ascot & Legoland) until reaching a T-Junction with traffic lights - turn left at the traffic lights into St. Leonards Road - Ground is approx 1/4 mile on right (opposite Stag & Hounds Public House).
By Road - M40
Exit M40 at Junction 2 and follow the signs for Slough (A355) - Keep on this road until reaching Junction 6, M4 - from here follow directions as per M4 above.
By Road - M25 (North)
Anti-Clockwise carriageway - exit at Junction 15 - onto Westbound M4 - then follow directions as per M4 above.
By Train - Clapham Junction
A train can be caught from Clapham Junction. Trains leave at 7 and 37 past the hour, arriving at Windsor and Eton at 47 and 19 past the hour.
By Train you need to go from Clapham Junction and as mentioned the cheap day return is £5.70 adults and £2.85 kids. Trains depart Clapham Junction at xx:07 and xx:37 and arrive at Windsor and Eton riverside at xx:47 and xx:19 so about 40 minutes the journey.
