History of the Wimbledon v Preston North End fixture

Wimbledon prepare to entertain Preston North End at National Hockey Stadium on Saturday afternoon, aiming to preserve their record of never having lost at home to the visitors. The majority of those games have been won by the Dons.

The most recent encounter between these two sides at National Hockey Stadium was less than a year ago, in April 2003, with Wimbledon running out comfortable 2-0 winners in a League Division One match.

Recent respective form guides

Wimbledon could not have a worse home record, losing every single one of the last six matches played! Dons have conceded a disappointing 10 goals in this period, and managed to convert only 2 of their own chances.

The away form of Preston N.E. is pretty dire, managing a paltry 2 draws from the last six matches. While the North End have hit 5 goals, 13 have hit the back of the wrong net.

Wimbledon find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 39 games have yielded only 21 points. Preston N.E. see themselves just below half way in the Nationwide League Division One, showing a record of 55 points from their 40 games played so far,
