Danny Signs New Contract

If you ever need a boost a few days before you start a new footie campaign The Mk Dons got it, news broke on local BBC Station, Three Counties Radio with Big George got an exclusive interview at HALF PAST SEVEN in the morning with Danny.

Danny has signed a three year rolling contract that he said means the club can't get rid of him, why we'd do that i just can't comprehend as things stand at this moment.

Since his arrival in December Danny has brought a new style and confidence to Milton Keynes, brought in Ian Bowyer to assist him. On the playing front he brought in Paul Mitchell on loan and switched Gareth Edds from right back to occupy a midfield role.

Under Danny we became a hard side to beat after Christmas 2004 and the Great Escape became complete on 7th May this year when Edds second goal ensured survival in League One. This was a very important step on the long road to establishing football in MK. A second succesive relegation was unthinkable, it would have set the long term plan five years in my opinion.

Players would have left and thats now not the case, Ben Chorley resigned and that was the key to several others including Matt Baker and Izale McLeod who have all shown their faith in the Gaffer and the future of this club. Paul Mitchell was captured from Wigan on a permanent deal and the signing of Craig Morgan to partner Ben in the centre of the spine of what is now a side growing in strentgh and stature.

The news that season ticket sales are the highest since the move to MK, wont surprise many of the Dons fans, if you've been coming to the NHS since the start you'll now know the buzz around the club is one of optimisom not fear.

Tonight we play Cambridge City i our last preseason before the season begins for real, come back and see the preview for a very important and last season in our temporary home later in the week.
